Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). Firefighters are out everyday in dangerous rescue attempts, they are unharmed by the fumes because they use a SCBA respirator. A self-contained breathing apparatus is used for entry and escape from atmospheres that are considered immediately dangerous to life and health or oxygen deficient. We understand the risk and danger in those harsh environments, so we offer NFPA-compliant and NIOSH approved SCBA. An air tank (usually 30 pounds or more) is designed to be carried by the user and delivers clean air to the user so there is no need for filters. The tank may last up to an hour or less depending on the user’s breathing. Be sure to have special training to learn how to use and maintaining them.
